Who’s most at risk of serious complications and death from Covid-19?
People over 50, especially men.
People with underlying medical conditions like, Heart disease or High Blood Pressure, Chronic lung disease, Asthma, Diabetes, people undergoing cancer treatment and people with compromised immune systems.
What should you do if you or a loved one is at higher risk for getting seriously ill?
Do not go to public places. Self-Quarantine until better treatment or a vaccine is made available. Completely break contact with anyone who is not quarantined with you and practicing the same strict measures. Wear a mask when you leave the house.
Cloth masks are recommended to save the surgical and N95masks for those people at the forefront of this battle, the first responders, hospital workers, cleaners, admission staff, ward clerks. laboratory staff, nursing aids, kitchen staff, respiratory therapists, nurses and doctors. Remember to show gratitude to all essential workers for they are keeping America going at this time.
